Meeting in central Murmansk
- Meeting point: Meridian Hotel, central Murmansk.
- Departure: 19:00–22:00, usually around 21:00. The time depends on the weather; we confirm it before the tour.
- Duration: approximately 3–5 hours. Return transport and English-language accompaniment are included.
Staying at another hotel in the city centre? Tell us its name and we will check whether pickup there is possible.
Hotel pickup is available within central Murmansk only. Guests staying outside the centre, including countryside hotels, can join us at the Meridian Hotel.
Viewing stops
Step outside to watch the sky and take your own pictures. Tea, snacks and a warm vehicle are available between stops.
Wear layers and bring a hat, gloves and insulated footwear for the outdoor part of the evening.
Stay with your guide at every stop
We may stop in parking areas beside roads. These locations are dark and unlit, so it can be easy to step onto the road without realising it.
Follow your guide’s instructions and stay with the group in the designated viewing area.
Your aurora photos
We use a professional camera. You are welcome to bring your own camera too.
As soon as the aurora appears
- Group photo first. Follow your guide’s directions and gather for the photo.
- Individual photos next. Be ready to take your turn promptly.
The aurora can disappear just as quickly as it appears, so we take the photos straight away.
Your photos arrive the next day via a link to a cloud drive.
Back to central Murmansk
After the tour, we drop you at the nearest roadside stop to your accommodation in central Murmansk. Drop-off points are along the street, for the final walk to your entrance.

How is the route chosen?
Your guide follows cloud and aurora forecasts and chooses the route and stops for that evening. The aurora is a natural phenomenon; keeping several evenings in Murmansk gives more flexibility around the weather.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear warm layers, insulated footwear, a hat and gloves. Tea and snacks are included, and a warm vehicle is available between stops. You can bring your own camera.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes. Select your party size in the private price table. The booking form will show the private option and the total for your party. Up to four guests travel by car; from five, a minivan is used.
Can I add an airport transfer or another tour?
Yes. Open the booking window and choose “Add airport transfer” or “Add tour”. Each item has its own date and price. Your combined estimate updates as you make changes.

Our team confirms dates and availability before booking. No payment is taken when you send the request. We reply 10:00–20:00 Moscow time (UTC+3).
